Dieting driving you crazy? Here is How to Diet with Sanity.
Diet with Sanity #1
Keep your sanity by finding a meal plan that works, repeat. I’ve been eating the same basic meals lately. Nothing fancy. Its either [chicken+broccoli] [beef taco salad] [steak fajita salad] [grilled chicken salad] or [chicken tacos].
Mexican theme winning out since it brings the most flavor, some spice, and little added calories. There is nothing wrong with repeating meals. Not that hard.
Dieting with Sanity #2
I’ve completely quit snacking.
This is hard, but I’ve noticed that my “snacks” would add up to more calories than a meal. And more times than not, derail me from sticking to my planned meals. This has allowed me to focus on getting greater nutrients when I have big meals. Also, I’m not missing anything when I track. It’s so easy to forget the 100-200 extra calories from a quick snack. And that’s what could be stalling fat loss.
Diet with Sanity #3
My focus is on eating adequate protein (actually only protein) and my macros still even out. Amazing! I’ve been full “dieting” and that’s the best part. Being miserable trying to lose weight is the worst and most likely will lead to feeling like a failure.
Diet with Sanity #4
Get SUPER productive during the first half of the day! Not only do I get a lot of ToDo’s done but, but it’s also been effective in staving off hunger so I can have a hella-good (and big) early bird dinner (anywhere from 2-5 pm). Which leads me to eat 1-2 HUGE meals a day. Those meals being 600-800 calories apiece. Hello, that’s only 1200-1600 calories a day=calorie deficit for me
Productivity. Satisfying meal. Success!
Now, this does not mean this is the only way to lose weight! You have to find what works for Y-O-U! These are the only ways I’ve learned work for ME, after much trial and error, personal reflection, and staying persistent (yet patient) in achieving the goals I set out for myself.
